Danielle Herrington decora la portada de 'Sports Illustrated'

A sus 24 años Danielle Herrington es la modelo de portada de la edición de trajes de baño de Sports Illustrated de 2018.

La revista reveló la portada este martes. Herrington es la tercera mujer negra que la decora desde que la edición anual fue lanzada en 1964. Beyoncé lo hizo 2007, y Tyra Banks en 1996 y 1997.

La editora de Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, MJ Day, dijo que aunque la edición fue concebida y fotografiada antes de que el movimiento #MeToo cogiera fuerza en el pasado otoño, se trata de más que mujeres en trajes de baño.

La revista, dijo, está “creando y dándoles plataformas a estas mujeres” y presentándolas como personas multidimensionales.
